FAQ

1: What is abandonware?

Abandonware is a piece of software (for any system, games or applications) which are no longer sold and/or supported by their copyright holder.

2: What about age and resellers?

Age does not enter into whether or not a game is abandonware. Many sites put a voluntary age limit on their games, but it is entirely voluntary.
Resellers also do not enter into a games abandonware status. A game might have 20 left-over copies at an online store or real world bargain bin, but that does not mean the copyright holder is still selling it. Again, some sites voluntarily link to resellers in order to give them support, including this site.

3: Can I contribute to this site?

Yes. If you wish to write a review (of a decent length, 2 liners not accepted.) or take screenshots for any games on this site (that dont already have them), please contact me. My contact details can be found on the Crew page.

4: Will you add "Game X" to this site?

It depends. If you know of a game you think I should add, please email me and tell me why. Do not email me the games unless I specifically request it though please. Note that there is a better chance of me adding a game if you supply the review and/or screenshots, purely because it will take me a lot less time.

5: "Game Y" has a buy link, but I know it is abandonware!

Abandonrom Paradise is one of a few abandonware sites that chooses to link to limited-stock resellers, so some abandonware games on this site may still have buy links. Do not contact me about providing downloads for these games, as I will simply direct you to this page.

6: "Game Z" has a buy link, but the game is no longer for sale there!

Because some of the places Abandonrom Paradise links to are limited-stock resellers, occassionally we may have a dud buy link. If you find one, please contact me (my details are on the Crew page) and I will endeavour to either find another buy link (preferable) or if not possible to provide a download for the game.

7: You dont have any games for "System Q" on this site! I love this system, and want to know if I could help start up a section for it.

Most definately! If you are an enthusiast for any system not currently on this site, I would love to hear from you (my contact information is on the crew page). Whether you would be willing to look after the entire section or just add a couple of games, I'm sure we can work something out.

8: I want to work on this site. Will i get paid?

Fuck off. Seriously though, we cant afford to pay you. I lose money on this site, and im not about to lose more so i can get a few reviews. We will however, give you unlimited access to our appreciation and friendship if you work for free ;) .

9: I found a dead link!

Please contact me (using the information on the Crew page) to inform me of any dead links on this site. Note that all downloads are on this server and will be up if the rest of the site is (which should be practically all of the time).
